It's impossible to deny that playing softball makes you attractive. The facts are staring us in the face, and I won't hear anything to the contrary. Ever since that fateful evening in the Puddle Duck and Aardvark (some names have been changed), two young men devised a plan to meet female members of the opposite sex and, at that moment, Above Alderney was formed (did I mention that some names have been changed?).
Since that time, those two ambitious young men with their incredible foresight into the human psyche have both forged lasting relationships with women. Not just any women, you realise, but women with whom they had been "friends" for a number of years. Nothing strange about that, or so you'd think until you realise that they are not alone. Hundreds (I've taken a few liberties with the numbers, too) have since become involved with others, both involved and otherwise, in the match-making sport, that they have known previously.
Some naysayers have suggested that this is mere coincidence and that the appearance of alcohol after games has precipitated these relationships. I say fooey. I think there is no need for further clarification.
